Terms and Conditions Placing an Order
These terms form the basis of the contract between you the customer and Confetti Cake Company. These terms and conditions, your order and your order confirmation are considered by the company to set out the whole agreement between you and the company for the sale of cakes. It is your responsibility to check all details in the order confirmation are complete and accurate as this is the document we work to when completing your order.
Basis of Sale
Any samples, drawings, or descriptions that Confetti Cake Company issue and any descriptions or illustrations contained on social media channels are issued solely to provide you with an approximate idea of the cakes or product they describe and remain the property of Confetti Cake Company. Any pictures provided by you will be discussed and form part of the inspiration but will not be copied as our work is individual to you and we will not copy another cake artists work.
Quotations are valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the day of issue. Cake sizes quoted are in inches and are based on the diameter of the cake.
No contract is made with you until Confetti Cake Company is in receipt of your booking fee which will be a minimum of 50%. Your order is not placed until the payment has been made. If you have made an online payment, it is your responsibility to inform us that this has been made to ensure your order is processed in a timely manner. Once your booking fee has been received and we have acknowledged receipt, you are in a legally binding contract with Confetti Cake Company.
Upon receipt of the booking fee, your date becomes secured for you. As a result, your booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
The remaining 50% of the total cost will become payable one week prior to the date of the order.
If the order is placed within one week prior to the collection of the order, the full balance must be paid to secure the order.
Allergy information and special dietary requirements must be discussed and recorded at the time of booking. If allergy information is required to be added after this point, the buyer must be aware that this may incur an additional cost.
If the customer is sourcing and providing their own cake topper, size and shape should be confirmed to ensure that it will fit on the top of the cake. Once agreed, this should be provided to us in the final week before collection.
Any changes to your design, size or flavours must be made no later than two weeks prior to collection. Once the full balance becomes payable, there can be no changes made. The customer is aware that any changes made before this date will incur additional charges. In this event, the additional costs will become payable immediately. The remaining balance would then be payable under the originally agreed terms.
We will send a reminder to inform you of the remaining balance. If this is not received, we will cancel the cake order. The remaining balance does still remain payable and we will take steps to recover these monies in the event of non payment and no response to our communication.
In rare circumstances, we may need to make last minute changes to a design. This will be to do with supply issues of a design element or if something is broken and we have to repair it. If this means we are unable to provide the original element of a design, we will always replace it or complete the look with a product that is of the same quality and will match the theme of the rest of the design. We will not change the overall look of the pre agreed design. We would always expect the change to be minimal and not dissimilar to what is pre agreed.
In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your cake, we will require the customer to contact us in writing within 24 hours. We will also require the cake to be brought back to us for inspection if the complaint relates to quality of the cake itself. As taste is subjective, we will not accept complaints regarding taste. We would therefore fully recommend that you have purchased a cake taster box with our six signature flavours prior to your booking.
Cancellations
The 50% deposit is a booking fee and is non-refundable and non-transferable. If the order is cancelled after the final week the full balance is still required to cover costs that we will have already incurred. If the cake is cancelled before the final week and any additional monies have been paid, these will be refunded less the 50% booking fee which is non refundable.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for trusting with us with your order and we look forward to working with you.
