aka the Big Boss
I took over “Confetti” after leaving the NHS. I believe in sliding door moments, and whilst I wasn’t looking to leave the NHS, the opportunity presented itself, so I jumped in with both feet.
I considered the word “Confetti” – colourful, happy, celebratory, a perfect addition to any occasion. I then reflected on my life values and the type of person I try to be – colourful, vibrant, a celebrant of life who values love, family, and friendship. What better gift of love than the gift of cake, right? The only thing missing was the word “cake”! So “Confetti” became “Confetti Cake Co,”.

Shauna
aka the Little Boss
I’m Shauna – aka “Little Boss” which Lyndsay nicknamed me.
I’ve been making bespoke cakes for 8 years, which started when I met my now fiancé, Joshua.
I’m originally from Sunderland and moved to Blyth in 2022. The journey back to Sunderland every day for work became a chore and working alone was seriously impacting my mental health.
It was then I came across Confetti Cake Company. Lyndsay showed me around & asked what I was looking for. Before long she offered me a job which I gladly accepted. I’m forever thankful to Lyndsay, for not only being an amazing boss, but an amazing friend.
Helpful & friendly staff that catered for last minute request. Decoration was beautiful and taste was even better. Would highly recommend

How do I order a cake?

Please be sure to include as much information as you can. We must receive info on allergens (even if there are none) and number of people to serve.
How much notice do you require?
The more notice you can give us, the better. Our diary fills up very fast. Whilst we try our best to help everyone, we are a two woman team so we have our limits. Booking with plenty of notice means there’s more chance we’ll be able to make
your cake dreams come true!
Can you give me a quote for a wedding cake?
We would love to quote for your wedding cake but styles avaliable vary considerably in terms of complexity. To provide an accurate quote, we need as much information as possible from you.
How should I transport my cake?
Cakes are to be carried straight and from the bottom of the box at all times. The cake needs to be gently placed in either the footwell or the boot, with something to gently secure it so it doesnt slide about. Keeping cakes on uneven surfaces such as a seat can cause damage. The aircon should be on at all times. It is important that you
go straight home or to the venue and store it correctly.
